I'm riding for my friend, Joel Houghton. During the month of July, Joel and a group of his friends and I will be riding as much as we can to find a cure for Friedreich's Ataxia -- a rare, debilitating, and life shortening neuromuscular disease. There is a lot of exciting research taking place, but a cure still remains elusive.
Joel was diagnosed with Friedreich's Ataxia several years ago, and part of his journey with the disability has involved transitioning from a regular bicycle to a recumbent trike. He's always been an avid cyclist, but he is out more than ever now on his Catrike 559! We're very excited to participate in rideATAXIA again this year!
We will be biking locally to raise awareness and money for the important research taking place. Thank you for considering joining our team. Together, we can beat FA!
