This fund is an initiative of Mrs. Sophie Labrecque. It was created in 2022, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Gift of Reading project and the million underprivileged children aged 0 to 12, who received a new book from a million reading-loving donors.

This permanent fund provides support for the continuity of this project and will allow support for other initiatives to promote literacy and reading activities, allowing equal opportunities for all and access to education.

Donations received are deposited in perpetuity at the Foundation of Greater Montreal.
