We’re back again this year, walking for a cause that holds a very special place in our hearts.

Once again, we’ll be taking part in the Alzheimer’s walk in honour of our dad, who we lost to early onset dementia, and in support of everyone whose life has been touched by this disease. Alzheimer’s doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed; it deeply changes the lives of entire families and everyone who loves them.

Living with a loved one with dementia is truly a rollercoaster. Our dad’s journey with early onset dementia was incredibly difficult, and the transition from having him as our parent to becoming his caregivers, and eventually having to say goodbye, is something we carry with us every day. We hold onto the love, memories, and moments we shared. If anyone is going through something similar, please know you’re not alone, you can always reach out to us.

For us, this walk is about coming together, honouring our dad and all our loved ones, and creating hope for a future without Alzheimer’s. It’s about love, remembrance, and community.
