How to determine your average speed?
We invite you to consult this link: https://jedonneenligne.org/mira/campagne/velomira/pages/infos-cyclistes.

How will my in-person participation take place on the day of the event?

  • You will have to go by your own means, on the morning of Friday, August 16, to the foundation's head office (1820 rang Nord-Ouest in Sainte-Madeleine). You can come by car and collect it at the end of your day.
  • You will be expected at 9 a.m. on site, since departure will be at 10 a.m. There will be a short departure ceremony to wish you a great hike! You can arrive at the site between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
  • You will ride in platoons of approximately 15 people. You will be well supported by professional supervision (supervisors, first aid and support vehicles).
  • Departures will take place a few minutes apart. A break will be planned during the journey so that you can dine at the Saint-Césaire farm.

Gourmet break

To get your lunch, you will be served by volunteers at the Saint-Césaire farm (dinner stop) between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.: lunch, water, toilets, first aid, mechanical repairs. You can eat under our large marquee, comfortably seated on our picnic tables and enjoy the magnificent view.

Will I receive my jersey the same day of the event?
Yes, we will be able to hand-deliver the jersey to you the morning of the event. However, your registration must have been made before June 22, 2024 to guarantee the availability of your size. If you are unable to be there the morning of the hike, we can send you the jersey by mail.

Will I be able to change on site?
Yes, it will be possible to change in one of the tents which will be made available for this purpose.

Will it be possible to leave personal effects (backpack, change of clothes, etc.) on site?
Yes, we will provide participants with a closed trailer to which only employees will have access during the day. The Mira Foundation cannot be held responsible for theft, breakage or loss of objects.

Where will I park my car?
A parking space will be available at the Tétreault Sugar Shack. We will have a team that will be able to ensure everyone’s safety. You can leave your vehicle there for the day and collect it at the end of the event.

Can my family come to the start/finish site?
You can invite your families and friends to join you on the sites.

Will there be a ceremony at the end of the event?
We will present prizes at Mira headquarters at the end of the day during the post-race meal to recognize your efforts.

What happens if the weather does not allow the event to take place?
in the event of bad weather that could jeopardize the safety of cyclists, the event will unfortunately be canceled. No postponement date. Registration fees will not be refunded, but all cyclists will receive their jersey. Funds raised will be donated directly to Mira. Note that this would be an exceptional situation, since none of the 20 editions of the Mira Bike Ride have been canceled to date.
