This will get the ball rolling and show how important this fundraiser is to you.

Start early!
Start months in advance. Last minute personal and professional reasons can often hold people back.

Arm yourself with arguments and statistics about the cause
It's always easier to convince people when you can point out the specific needs of a cause. Visit "About" on the site to learn more.

Put a link to your fundraising page and an invitation to donate at the bottom of your email signature and Facebook page
You will receive unexpected but no less appreciated donations!!!

Get attention!
Prepare an announcement about your participation in the event. Send it to the various media in your area. Post it on the bulletin board at work.

Share your personal experience
Explain why you are participating in the event and raising money for Le Monarque Residence. Explain how palliative care resonates with you or simply talk about your experience.

A matching gift program?
Find out if your company has a matching gift program. This way, you will see your employer match your donation. Encourage your colleagues to do the same.

Be creative!
Fundraising is more than just asking for donations.
Be creative.

  • Bake cookies with friends and sell them at the office
  • Set up piggy banks
  • Organize a jeans day at the office
  • Suggest that people give you a donation for your fundraiser rather than a gift at a special event.

Recognition is essential. Let people know about your progress. Invite them to come and cheer you on the day of the event. They will be able to see the impact of their donation.
